Attention TNE Colleagues:

Please join us for an opportunity to explore the role of observation as a source of evidence about candidates, teachers, and teacher preparation programs and to take some concrete steps toward a multi-site initiative. Faculty with interest and experience in observation methods are invited to attend the second Observation Protocols Summit, hosted by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) October 26-28, 2008.

Common Needs funds from AED will be utilized to cover expenses for two (2) faculty participants from each TNE site. Sites are welcome to bring additional participants at their own expense. A tentative agenda, a brief description of the meeting goals and objectives, and criteria for participation were provided in an earlier e-mail sent to the TNE project directors and managers. A more detailed agenda will be disseminated at a later date. As the host institution, CSUN is already working on a sample conceptual frame work that will be circulated as an example to other institutions.

This session will only be offered if there appears to be sufficient interest across the TNE sites. The summit registration form includes a space in which you can indicate whether you would be interested in participating in the software demonstration. If you are interested in participating in the demonstration, please register by Monday, September 15 to allow CSUN faculty and AED staff time to organize this event.
